How to read a research peptide certificate of analysis (fields only)

A COA is a batch document. It is not a use guide. This page names the fields you need to match. It does not interpret a result, recommend a material, or tell you how to use one.

Fields to copy before you buy or log a vial

Field	What it is	What to do with it
Product / material name	The name on the vendor page and, separately, the name on the COA.	Confirm they refer to the same listing. Blends must match component names (Glow vs Restore Blend vs Klow are different).
Lot ID	The batch code on the vendor page and on the vial. Peptide Restore publishes lot IDs on product pages (example: BPC-157 2510280105, 260518BPC01).	The lot on the vial, the lot on the product page, and the lot on the COA must be the same string. A COA for lot A does not document lot B.
Certificate date	The date the lab issued the report.	Record it. Do not treat an old lot’s file as the file for a new lot.
Testing laboratory	The lab named on the COA PDF. On Peptide Restore COA PDFs, that lab is Freedom Diagnostics (FreedomDiagnosticsTesting.com).	Confirm the PDF header names that lab. Then verify on the lab’s own site.
Accession number	Lab-issued ID for that report.	Copy it exactly.
Search code	Freedom Diagnostics lookup key. Their lookup page states the search code is the first 4 characters of the company name plus the accession number (their example format only — do not invent a Peptide Restore search code here).	Enter it at the Freedom Diagnostics COA lookup. Codes are not case-sensitive; strip spaces.
Company name	The vendor name as printed on the COA.	You can also search the lab lookup by company name. This draft has not confirmed that “Peptide Restore” returns rows in that search. Missing until someone runs it.

Open the COA PDF from the vendor product page for the lot you have.
Find Search Code (Freedom Diagnostics says it sits in the top-right table of the COA) or the Accession Number.
Enter that value in the lab lookup. Or search by company name exactly as printed on the COA.
Open the lab’s record. The material name, lot, and date on the lab record must match the PDF. If they do not match, stop. The PDF is not verified.
If the lookup returns nothing, treat the PDF as unverified. Do not “fix” the code. Do not cite numbers from an unverified file.

This page does not quote purity, identity, HPLC, mass, or endotoxin figures. If you need those values, read them from a lookup-verified COA for that lot. Do not copy them from marketing bullets.
